Religion has played a significant role in the campaigns and
policy positions of both political parties leading up to the
Nov. 2 elections, so it seems appropriate that a "Guide to
Prayer for the 2004 National Election" has recently been
made available online.
We've named all eight randomly selected winners in our
recent promotional contest to give away to members of our
global community eight free copies of a book by Doug Sahlin,
published by Osborne/McGraw-Hill. This contest is now closed.
In the growing digital music competition, Hewlett-Packard
is showing its support for Apple's iTunes -- with a little
help from Adobe PDF -- by offering for download a variety of
free, suitable-for-printing tattoos designed for
personalizing an iPod.
MacFixit.com suggests that deleting Preferences
files for Acrobat 6 or Reader 6 under Mac OS X may
resolve a significant printing slowdown some users
have reported after upgrading.

Adobe Systems and GeoTrust Inc. are partnering
to offer a new Adobe Acrobat Certified Document
Services solution for digitally signing and
verifying PDF-based documents.
Apago Inc. recently announced a new version of PDF
Enhancer 2.6 for Mac OS X, Windows and Sun Solaris.
CVISION recently released CVista PdfCompressor v3.0,
which compresses PDF image files up to 80x smaller, and
converts image documents in TIFF, JPEG and 15 additional
formats to compressed PDF.
