Happy holidays from Planet PDF

Calendars around the world are nearing expiry, and it's time to reflect on the year that was. 2005 has been one of the more eventful 12-month spans for PDF in recent memory. Adobe's acquisition of Macromedia heads the list, closely followed by the news of native PDF support in Microsoft's pending Office software. Add to that the ISO's formal adoption of the PDF/A standard for archival and the state of Massachusetts' snubbing of Microsoft's proprietary Office formats in favor of PDF and OpenDoc and you have what will likely be viewed as a watershed year for PDF.

With the holiday season around the corner, we have devoted this week's newsletter to the year's most popular articles at Planet PDF.
