Dan Shea

Planet PDF Managing Editor

Dan Shea first became involved with PDF while developing a back-end process for the conversion of paper books for a leading eBook provider. He joined the Planet PDF team as PDF Store Manager, catalyzing a period of unprecedented growth in the area, and during that time gained extensive experience with the use of literally hundreds of different PDF software packages. His credits include the co-ordination of conference sessions, and he has moderated and spoken at such major industry events as Seybold Seminars, PDF Conference, The Acrobat & PDF Conference and Open Publish Sydney.

Karl De Abrew

Planet PDF Editorial Director

Karl De Abrew is the founder of Planet PDF and founder/former CEO of Nitro PDF Software, the builder of Nitro PDF Professional and operator of Planet PDF. Karl is a seasoned speaker, moderator, industry commentator and columnist for a variety of publications.

He is currently the CEO and founder of Debenu, maker of the PDF SDK - Quick PDF Library, an advanced PDF developer tool for PDF creation and manipulation, ARTS PDF - one of the leading Acrobat plug-in developers, and Benubird Pro, the easy-to-use personal document management system also with a focus on PDF.

Rowan Hanna

Planet PDF Contributing Editor

Rowan Hanna is both a Planet PDF Contributing Editor and the Product Architect for Debenu. Before co-founding Debenu with Karl, he managed Planet PDF's affiliated online store, PDF Store. Rowan worked closely with customers and software vendors, has an extensive knowledge of document management related products, and drove PDF Store to become the premier location for independent PDF software and Adobe Acrobat plug-ins. Rowan later joined the Nitro PDF Software product development team to design and test new product features based on customer feedback, with a focus on usability and quality.

Anne Shea

As a Contributing Editor for Planet PDF, Anne Shea is variously responsible for writing, editing and posting PDF-relevant news, interviews, op-ed and articles about cool uses of PDF. Anne holds a master's degree in English literature, and when she's not writing on all things PDF, she keeps librarians in the know about tech and innovation. She also writes a blog on life above 6 for her clothing company, Sarah Vain and Tall.
