DocuCom PDF Core Library is a set of APIs that help developers to create PDF processing applications without in-depth PDF knowledge. All DocuCom products are sharing the same DocuCom PDF Core Library. Since all major functions are already supported by this shared library, only minor part of codes should be developed for specific functionality.
Starting from DocuCom 4.0, Zeon has greatly re-engineered the PDF Core APIs to make them fully compatible with Acrobat Core API specified in Acrobat Core API Online References. We have followed the freely available specification exactly, and had done a clean-room implementation based on our older version of DocuCom products.
All applications based on Acrobat Core API set should also work as expected with DocuCom PDF Core Library 4.0 without major modifications. However, in order to compile correctly, some header files from Zeon might be necessary to be included in developer's codes.
Acrobat Plug-In Compatibility
Since DocuCom PDF Core Library 4.0 is compatible with Acrobat Core API, plug-ins for Acrobat should also function well under DocuCom products. However, developers should not rely on binary compatibility other than under specific platform and exact version of API specification.
Zeon will make her products 100% compatable with latest version of PDF specification and Acrobat(TM). Just like what we have already done since 1995.
Field-Proven DocuCom PDF technology since 1995.
Reduces developer's learning period of understanding another different APIs that deliver the same functionality of PDF document processing.
Existing plugins could be easily ported to DocuCom.
Developers could produce PDF related applications in a short time.
OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
