Multi-Index allows you to attach multiple Acrobat Search indexes to a single PDF, and can be done in batch with our Options plug-in.
To attach multiple indexes to a PDF you need to register one copy of Multi-Index to use with Acrobat Exchange. However, once the PDFs have been saved you may distribute the unregistered version of Multi-Index for free, with Acrobat Reader, as long as you follow the conditions in the Multi-Index licence agreement. These conditions include either distributing our installer, or a customised Acrobat installer which installs the Multi-Index plug-in and Online Guide in the correct places.
Multi-Index is compatible with the Acrobat AutoIndex plug-in, but is best used instead of it when you want to attach multiple indexes to a PDF.
With a fully registered version of Multi-Index you can add or remove indexes from a PDF document from Acrobat's File> Document Info> Multi-Index menu item. (This does not appear in the free version.) Indexes are loaded by Multi-Index when the PDF document is opened, and removed when Acrobat is closed. Indexes can also be unloaded when the document closes, if the `Unload Multi-Indexes at document close' preference is selected from the Preferences menu.
Multi-Index can be registered by following the instructions from Acrobat's Help> Plug-ins Help> Register Multi-Index dialogue once you have installed the plug-in.
OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
