DocOut is a software product running on Windows NT or Windows 2000 servers. DocOut will receive data from a SNA (System Network Architecture) or TCP/IP network directly from IBM Mainframe Systems (OS/390, MVS or VM) or AS/400 Systems. These data can be formatted as SCS (SNA Characters Strings) or AFP/IPDS (Intelligent Printer data Stream). DocOut will convert these special IBM formats to PCL (HP's Print Command Language), PostScript and to PDF. The PCL and PostScript Data enables fully compatible IPDS output to standard network connected laser printers. The PDF feature provides the possibility for document distribution using the Internet, local Viewing and Archiving.
The DocOut solution from i-data Printing Systems is extreemely fast and will support up to 96 printers per installation/server. The cost per
printer is very attravtive when compared to traditional printer interfaces
and the support for PDF makes DocOut a ver useful product in todays Network and Internet connected environment.
