PDFaqua is an extension to Documentum which offers:
"Print time" watermark and attribute addition to documents;
Dynamic or "one time" Documentum Docbase attribute addition to the
"view"and/or "print" copies of the document;
The ability to set the document's permissions "on the fly" to reflect the
User's Docbase permissions.
PDFaqua is based around the PDF file format and may be seamlessly
installed onto any existing Docbase. PDFaqua allows the document
administrator to give different users different perspectives of the same
The administrator can easily provide different combinations of document
"view" and "print" views for the same user or different users or user groups.
These different views may include additional text, graphics, watermarks and
Docbase attributes. Full control over the document's security permissions is
provided. For example, the same PDF rendition may be presented to one user with
"print" functionality disabled, to another user with "print" functionality
enabled but with print time watermarking applied and to a third user with
"print" functionality enabled but with "controlled copy" information (such as
User name and Document expiry date) automatically applied. Complex "rules based"
document policies may be implemented by simply changing Administrator definable
templates, which themselves are PDF documents within the Docbase.
OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
