Platform(s): Win
License: Commercial

Application type: Plug-in
Categories:
Prepress, Print & PDF/X

Features

PDF Seps2Comp features a Preview component that provides the overprinting inspection of pre-separated files. Turn color plates on and off, zoom in, and inspect trapping. PDF Seps2Comp supports object conversion to allow for either Postscript Level 2 or 3 output devices.

PDF Seps2Comp merges separated PDF files created by Distilling separated PostScript from page layout applications such as Adobe PageMaker and Quark XPress. Use multiple language layers or plates to print several languages from a single PDF file. This tool loads and saves custom inks and offers full access to the PANTONEâ color libraries for ink selection. All of the original ink usage and overprinting information is preserved. If a separation tool is later used, the results will be the same as the original separated PDF.

Features

  • Preserve trap settings from QuarkXPress or utilizes trapping solutions further down the workflow.
  • Merges separated PDF files originating from CopyDot, DCS 2.0, TIFF-IT, and CT/LW files.
  • Merges separated PDF files created by distilling separated PostScript from page layout applications such as QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign.
  • Saves and loads custom inks and ink sets.
  • Preview feature allows for the inspection of overprints prior to composing the pre-separated file into one composite document
