The 3-Heights™ Image to PDF Converter converts raster images to PDF files:
- convert BMP to PDF
- convert GIF to PDF
- convert JPEG to PDF
- convert PNG to PDF
- convert TIFF to PDF.
Supported image file types are: TIFF, JPEG, JPEG2000, JPEG-LS, JBIG2, PNG, GIF, PBM, BMP.
Options offered with converting image files to PDF include:
- Convert single - and multi-page image files
- Automatic image compression based on the image type
- Define page width and height
- Center images
- Scale the image to fit with the page size
- Define a border size for the page
- Set the resolution in DPI's
- Automatically adjust page size to image size
- Specify output document protection (owner password, user password and permissions)
The 3-Heights™ Image to PDF Converter can also convert image files from one image type to another, e.g. convert TIFF to JPEG, CCITT4 to JBIG2, etc. Several options are offered with image to image conversions, including:
- Split files e.g. convert multi-page TIFFs to single-page TIFFs
- Merge files e.g. convert single-page TIFFs to a multi-page TIFFs
- Change the compression method for TIFF images
- Specify the compression quality for JPEG images
The 3-Heights™ Image to PDF Converter API can be used via COM API to support VB, .NET, Delphi, C, etc. applications. There is also an interface available for Java and C. The shell tool can be run from the command line.
