The 3-Heights™ PDF to Image Converter converts PDF to raster image file formats. Typical implementations of this technology are, for example:

• Storing PDF documents in a TIFF archive
• Creating thumbnails of PDF pages
• Permitting viewing on the web without requiring a PDF reader
• Preparing PDF documents so they can be printed on a raster device

Supported image formats include TIFF, JPEG, JBIG2, JPEG2000, PNG, GIF, PBM, BMP, EPS, and PDF (rasterized PDFs).

With the 3-Heights™ PDF to Image Converter you can select a number of options for the conversion:

• Select individual pages for conversion
• Set the page mode (fit page, true size, center)
• Set the page dimensions in points or pixels
• Set the resolution in DPI's
• Set the image format (bitonal, grayscale, color)
• Set the dithering mode for bitonal images (Floyd Steinberg)
• Set various rendering options such as image filters

Additional options, depending on the image format selected, include:

• Create single or multi-page images
• Convert PDF to CCITT Fax image files
• Set the image quality
• Set the compression (JPEG, ZIP, LZW, Group3, Group4)
• Convert a PDF file into a rasterised PDF File, i.e. convert text, graphics and objects into raster images in a new PDF file
